Our Services
You're Not Broken. You're Becoming.
"My clients are some of the most resilient and amazing people I know. I love walking alongside them and feel so honored to get to do this work. I primarily work with people who have experienced trauma or neglect at some point in their lives. I love getting to help clients as they become more of themselves and learn to love themselves. Every person has what they need inside them already. We all just need help and safety on the journey to find our true selves." -- Shannon Newton

Shannon Newton
Rooted Hope Counseling and Consulting was started in 2017 by Shannon Newton, an Licensed Professi0nal Counselor (LPC-S lic.# P1701214) in Northwest Arkansas. Shannon earned her master's degree from John Brown University in 2009 and has experience in Emotionally Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Sensorimotor therapy, and Somatic models of therapy. Shannon primarily works with people who have experienced some sort of trauma or neglect in their lives that has led to anxiety, depression, relational issues, addictions and other challenges. She has helped people of all backgrounds and experiences find that brokenness can lead to healing, growth, and resilience.
Shannon offers individual counseling for one-on-one support, and leads specialized group therapy for people with chronic illnesses, providing a supportive community for healing.
Shannon provides professional supervision for Licensed Associate Counselors (LAC's) to enhance their clinical skills and expertise.
In her downtime, you can find Shannon joyfully riding her e-bike (feels like being a kid again!) getting lost in a good book, or exploring the great outdoors in the RV with her partner and their hilariously cranky elderly cat. As a caregiver for her husband, who faces ongoing disability and chronic health issues, she deeply understands the challenges of living with chronic health conditions.
